Inside the sleek, modern, and minimalist Mazda6 interior, you’ll be forgiven for thinking your riding in a six-figure European luxury vehicle. While the styling is certainly part of that experience, the seats do a lot of the heavy lifting. They are contoured and supportive, but not so firm as to be uncomfortable. With the power lumbar support, as well as available Nappa leather upholstery and ventilated seating, the Mazda6 prioritizes your comfort. Unfortunately, the 2021 Sonata can’t say the same. While the seats are comfy enough on smooth roads, their firmness sends any bumps and choppiness straight to your bottom and back.
When it comes to fun-to-drive vehicles, few do it as well as Mazda. And the 2021 Mazda6 is evidence of that. Widely touted by reviewers as one of the best-handling midsize sedans on the market, the 2021 Mazda is a blast to drive. And with its powerful turbocharged engine and responsive six-speed automatic, it’s also very fast. The 2021 Sonata, even with its turbocharged engine, simply can’t match the 2021 Mazda6.
